Dr. Stella Nemuseso
Let me introduce myself. My name is Dr. Stella Nemuseso. I have been blessed with a long history of employment and community service. Having trained in the Country of Zimbabwe and moving to the United States in 1996, I have had many experiences personally and professionally.
My years in Zimbabwe have given me great professional experience in my field of Physical Therapy, as well as, leadership and service to the community. My work in Physical Therapy has included orthopedic, neurological and outpatient rotations and has allowed me to be both an employee and a teacher of others. In my role as teacher I was acknowledged for empowering students through the development of critical thinking skills.
Moving to the United States in 1996, I worked in several skilled nursing facilities in Southern Florida, While I held many positions in South Florida and was able to make a deal of difference in the lives of individuals and the community my goal was to move closer to Gainesville, Florida to continue my education. I was not able to do so until 2007 when I moved to Ocala, Florida. However, my plans were once again put aside due to the demands of family and career. In Ocala, I continued my professional career offering physical therapy services in a variety of settings. I was actively involved in the opening and day to day operation of a new outpatient clinic through supervision of physical therapist assistants and rehab technicians. I served as an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor for College Students from the College of Central Florida and Taylor College.
In 2012 I accepted the role of Adjunct Instructor at Taylor College in Belleview, Florida. Also in that year I was able to fulfil my lifelong dream and graduate with a doctoral degree in physical therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah. I have been able to have extensive experience working with patients with a variety of diagnoses, including neurological conditions (CVA, ALS, MS and Parkinson’s disease), joint replacement, limb amputation and joint arthropathies. I have experience with pediatrics, geriatrics, work related injuries and reconditioning. In this I have been able to impact many lives. That is the most fulfilling of all.
I have a long list of accomplishments in my career. I am a member of many organizations including the Florida Physical Therapy Association, as well as, the education sections of the APTA and I am constantly learning and am committed to making a difference in the physical therapy profession, by being a mentor and dedicated citizen, highly involved in the community.
Now I set out to expand Dynamic Therapy & Wellness Services and the reach we have within the community. I invite you to join me! The purpose and drive behind Dynamic Therapy is to educate and empower citizens on sustainable ways to get fit and healthy. Dynamic Therapy & Wellness will achieve this through engagement, by becoming an agent of change so others will have the knowledge and resources to obtain optimal health.
